Object Description
A stylish reclaimed oak sink unit dating from the 1800s with a modern porcelain sink on top. Together, the pair make a timeless furniture piece, looking handsome in interiors both period and contemporary. It would suit a scullery, utility space, laundry or boot room in a country cottage or modern farmhouse. You can just imagine coming in from the cold after walking in the woods, stowing your boots in one of the cubby holes and washing your hands under the warm water of the sink. It is a perfect blend of old and new, the warm oak colour suiting any rustic setting.
The reclaimed oak unit is over 200 years old and has various holes where things have been historically fixed to the surface, instilling it with a handsome, timeworn look. This was once a standalone unit, the modern sink on top a later addition. It is not attached and so could be removed and replaced with a another style if desired.
