Object Description
A charming, attractive and useful Regency period centre open bookcase jardinière.
The cabinet of finely figured rosewood with pleated silk panel ends, split classical column corners and a removable oval lid to the jardinière, on castors.
A most interesting combination of circular and angled section collars and feet seen only on furniture, circa 1820.
The quality of timber and craftsmanship suggest a leading workshop of the time such as Gillow.
A rare and stunningly pretty useful piece.
