Object Description
Large Regency mahogany centre table or breakfast table made of a very fine cut of bookmatched or quarter cut flame mahogany with flame mahogany cross banding. The edges of the top and the base are decorated with three different sizes of gadrooning. The triangular support especially elegant as it is shaped with a downswept splay and the three surfaces are each concave. The frieze is narrow which is more elegant than later designs as well as giving more legroom. This table has a removable top and it also tilts for easy transport and storage. These photographs were taken before restoration, the colour will be fantastic when our in house restorers have finished with it.
