Object Description
A very fine Ancient Roman unguentarium blown from translucent amber glass. The vessel features an out-splayed rim with a cylindrical neck, leading to gently sloping shoulders and a bulbous body. The base is slightly flattened. Bubbles of trapped air from the blowing process add further interest to the glass. Beautiful iridescence covers part of the surface along with encrustation.
