Object Description
An Original Rosewood bracket clock dating to the early 19th Century. It has a traditional chamfer top surmounted by a brass pineapple finial, inset corner quadrants around the dial, silk lined brass fishscale fret sides with brass ring handles, standing on brass ball feet. It has an 8 day twin fusee movement that sounds the hours on a bell. The backplate is signed by the maker, Prince of Hammersmith. A John Prince is listed as working in London c.1844. The clock comes complete with a set up video if required and a period key.
