Object Description

A fine pair of Scottish antique George III sterling silver Port and Madeira wine labels which have been elaborately designed with two naked boys, one holding a jug and bottle and the other one holding a basket of grapes. There is a plain shaped section on each wine label engraved with Port and Madeira and there is a Bacchus head motif at the base profusely decorated with grapes. These silver wine labels would make a useful addition to a wine label collection and would be ideal to use. They weigh 1.2 troy ounces (38 grams).

Length: 6.10 cms (2.5″)

When taking photographs, it is difficult to eliminate the reflection on silver.
