Object Description

A selection of beautiful Egyptian restrung necklaces consisting of vibrant turquoise faience tubular beads, alternated with small flattened ones, made of green, white, red and blue faience. The beads have been uncovered by the archaeologist Flinders Petrie at Gurob, an important palace, town and necropolis located at the entrance of the Faiyum Oasis.

Date: Circa 1069-744 BC
Period: Third Intermediate Period

Object Condition

Very fine condition. The necklaces have been finished with a small silver clasp, but please be aware that the clasp has not been professionally tied. The measurements given apply to the folded necklaces.
