Object Description
Set of eight George III period 18th century mahogany dining chairs. This is a charming set of chairs comprising six singles and two armchairs. They have good high backs for comfort and H frame stretchers for strength. The drop in seats lift out to make changing the cover easier. The back design is interesting, the central splat is a stylised relief of a sheaf of wheat or corn which would indicate that they were made for a wealthy farming family. Price includes woodwork restoration.
