Object Description
Set of eight Regency dining chairs standing on turned and reeded legs with exceptionally fine carving and a very generous shape overall, especially to the rear uprights and back leg. The rear uprights also have a very well drawn moulded detail which runs from the seat up and into the back rest with an out turned scroll on each side. It is unusual to find a set of chairs from this period in oak and even rarer still for them to be of such typically classical Regency form.
The oak is a lovely colour and we think that this set of chairs would sit just as well in a contemporary dining room as a traditional one.
