Object Description
Very fine quality set of twelve antique dining chairs. These chairs are made by Miles and Edwards of Oxford Street in London. They are very well made and are made of very good solid dense grained mahogany which allows them to have elegant slender arms and legs. This set of chairs also have an interesting shape to the back uprights which splay out as well as curving back. These chairs are solid, large and comfortable. One quite interesting thing, although of no practical value, is that four of the chairs appear to have the original fabric. Made of woven horsehair this fabric lasts for decades and is still woven today.
