Object Description
Fine quality set of twelve antique dining chairs made by Edwards and Roberts of London. These chairs are a grand scale which makes them better able to accomodate the modern diner than a period chair. They are strong, with H frame stretchers for added strength. The back splat is elegantly drawn with crisp carving and the back legs are generously curved. These chairs are made from a good dense grained mahogany which explains why they are so heavy to lift. This is a really fine quality set of chairs and these pictures do not do them justice.
