Object Description

A set of 6 sterling silver knives and forks with plain blades and real mother of pearl handles with reeded silver ferules. Classical plain style. Dessert cutlery. Knife 18 cms. Fork 14.5 cms. In the original box with blue velvet lining. Sheffield 1912. Maker Harrison Brothers.

Biography – Harrison Brothers (Henry Harrison), silver and silver plate manufacturers and cutlers of Sheffield, 1848-1861. Succeeded by Harrison Brothers & Howson 1862-c.1950. Absorbed into Viner’s of Sheffield c.1925.

Object Condition

This pretty set of cutlery is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Each piece is stamped with a full and matching set of English silver hallmarks. The box is in good condition, it would have originally contained a second tray of cutlery.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item. The cutlery handles are made from real mother of pearl shell and there may occasionally be a slight variation in grain and size.
