Made by Paul Canaux & Cie, French, fl. 1892-1911, retailed by August Bel, Marseille, the green and white inverted baluster bodies moulded in high relief and picked out in gilding, bifurcated leaf-capped cast foliate handles, classical mask embellished spouts, the waisted domed covers with cast foliate finials, fitted in a green leather and gilt tooled case.
The light green porcelain of this stunning French set is beautifully offset by its surrounding silver gilt, creating a wonderful visual contrast.
