Object Description
A fine set of six George II Chippendale design mahogany chairs.
The chairs have a carved and shaped top rail and a broad pierced centre splat.
The chairs have carved cabriole legs with claw and ball feet and a stuff over seat that has been re-webbed and covered in calico.
The underside of each chair has a label with “Mrs Walpole” and came out of Heckfield place and have passed down through the Walpole family by descent.
The chairs are in excellent condition (Circa 1740)
