Object Description
Circa 1830, George IV rosewood and leather top drum or rent table of diminutive proportions. With a gilded and tooled green leather insert to the top, contained in a circular bezel of crossbanded rosewood, with an ogee moulding. The apron has a combination of real and dummy drawers with brass handles and rounded button escutcheons, original locks and keys. It stands on a rosewood veneered fluted and bulbous stem, and a raised platform base. Finishing on exhibition quality, downward facing fluted, turned feet with original castors.
