Object Description
A small (just over 6 feet high) late 17th Century style longcase clock made in the George V period. It has a square hood, a long bevel glazed door, a fielded panel base and a shaped plinth. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with brass spandrels and a matted centre. It has a weight driven Westminster chime movement, that sounds the 1/4’s and hours on chime bars. The chimes and or strike can be silenced. It has three brass weights and a brass bob pendulum, wound by pulling the chains on a weekly basis.
