Southern Song White Glazed domed lidded box.
the white glaze falls short of the base of the bottom part of the box where it is moulded with foliage.
the rounded lid is also lightly moulded just visible through the glaze.
The low domed box is very well made with excellent glaze.
Excellent example of Southern Song ware. The Southern Song was the last part of the Song Dynasty to fall to the invading Mongols who set up the Yuan Dynasty
