These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver candlesticks have a circular rounded form with a shaped figural column.
The cylindrical capital of each silver candlestick is plain and encircled with an applied moulded border to the rim.
The exceptional sterling silver column of each candlestick has been modelled in the form of a man clothed in 17th century attire, holding to his chest a strapped pouch.
These impressive figural columns surmount domed circular bases, each ornamented with a bright cut engraved crest depicting four erupting volcanoes.
The surface of each base features the full London hallmarks, in addition to the retailer’s mark ‘Child & Child, 1 Seville St, London, SW’.
These figural candlesticks in sterling silver have weighted bases and are fitted with green baize to the underside.
