An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver coffee pot made by Walker & Hall; part of our silver teaware collection.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver coffee pot has a cylindrical tapering shaped form.
The convex fluted surface of this fine antique coffee pot is embellished with impressive bands of bright cut engraved and wrigglework decorated conjoined circular motifs accented with quatrefoil designs to the centre of each.
The body is further ornamented with two bands of paralleling embossed bead decoration.
This impressive Walker and Hall silver coffee pot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with further decoration, reflecting that of the body.
The cover retains the original carved fluted finial, accented with a sterling silver knop to the upper portion, reflecting the design of the body.
This Victorian silver coffee pot is fitted with an elongated S shaped handle embellished with further embossed bead decoration, amongst a vertical ribbed ornamentation.
The decoration to the handle incorporates an incurved leaf decorated thumbpiece to the upper portion.
This fine antique silver coffee pot has a plain swan necked spout embellished with a bead decorated border to the lip.
The underside of this exceptional example of Victorian silverware bears the retailer’s mark ‘Walker & Hall, Sheffield’, in addition to the registration number ‘53116’.
