An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique George V English sterling silver gilt fruit dish; an addition to our silver dining collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver dish has an oval form onto four elongated hoof style legs.
The body of the dish is encompassed with an applied band of concave fluted ornamentation flanked with bead decoration.
The fluted band is further ornamented with circular floral rosettes, in additional to oval floral designs to each end and urn motifs to either side.
This exceptional dish is supported by four elongated hoof style legs accented with cast and applied ram’s head designs in junction with the body.
This exceptional solid silver fruit dish is further embellished with a tied leaf garland, suspended from the aforementioned anchor points.
The rounded well of this antique fruit dish is plain and unembellished.
The underside of the dish bears the retailer’s mark ‘Fattorini & Sons Ltd, Bradford’.
This exceptional dish retains the original gilding.
