This exceptional antique George III sterling silver tea caddy has an oblong, bomb shaped form.
The body of this silver tea caddy box is embellished with embossed and chased scrolling foliate and floral decoration.
The ornamentation to this Georgian caddy incorporates a shaved vacant cartouche the anterior side.
This antique 18th century silver tea caddy retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, surmounted with an impressive cast sterling silver finial modelled in the form of a bird.
The cover is embellished with further embossed and chased decoration, reflecting that of the body.
The lower portion of this exceptional silver tea caddy is supported by an impressive applied gallery incorporating suspended scrolling leaf decoration, accented with leaf decorated bracket style feet to each corner.
