This fine vintage George VI sterling silver presentation piecehas a circular waisted form to a circular domed spreading base.
The surface of the cup is plain and unembellished.
This vintage tennis trophy is fitted with three sweeping handles with a leaf decorated upper terminal and bifurcating lower terminals conjoining the body to the base.
The base is surmounted with a cast sterling silver ornament modelled in the form of a male tennis player completing a backhand swing.
The model is embellished with impressive cast details reproducing the fine details of the player’s attire, tennis racket and anatomical features.
This impressive sporting antique is fitted to the original turned painted wood presentation plinth; if required this plinth could be fitted with a bespoke sterling silver presentation plaque suitable for a personal engraved inscription.
