This impressive antique Victorian sterling silver tea set has been modelled in the Queen Anne style.
The lower portion of the teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl is embellished with fluted decoration.
The upper portion is embellished with chased floral and scrolling leaf decoration, with a shaped vacant cartouche to both sides of each item.
The large teapot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover ornamented with further fluted decoration.
The cover is surmounted by a carved painted wood and sterling silver cushion shaped fluted finial.
The incurved shoulders of this fine antique teapot are embellished with a subtle engraved decorated border accented with stylised leaf designs.
The teapot is fitted with a plain angular carved painted wood handle featuring a plain thumbpiece.
The cream jug and sugar bowl have plain angular sterling silver handles.
The fine sugar bowl and cream jug retain the original gilded interiors.
