Stoneware double split seed pod single flower vase, the inner pod separate from the outer, the exterior with a mottled and streaked matt glaze with some of the biscuit showing through. The base unglazed and incised with the potter’s mark AW, late 20th C

Object History

Alan Wallwork is best known for his natural / organic inspired work. His art is in the tradition of exciting and experimental hand built ceramics which grew up around the Central School and Goldsmiths College in the 1950s.
