Black chalk pencil drawing. Signed.
The present drawing would have been done from life most probably at an East London fruit market.
Ernest Johnson studied at the Slade, later becoming Professor of Fine Art at Bedford College, London. He exhibited from 1886 specialising in figurative , urban life and portraiture.

From a private collection in Kent.

Object Condition

Good. We have had some fox marks removed and had it remounted and framed.
The frame size measures 24 x 19.5 inches.
