Object Description
This very nice quality armorial and cast bordered George III silver salver was made in London 1798 in John Schofield and measures 13.75 inches in dia, it has a lovely coat of arms to the centre and has a pierced and engraved chinoiserie border depicting birds of paradise, ho-ho birds, bridges, temples and Chinese figures, the cast and pierced feet have scrolled ends and flowers and foliage as decoration. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back and unusually the cast border is also fully hallmarked, a very nice salver in very good condition by a good maker weighing ounces or grams.
