Object Description

This superb George II silver armorial salver was made in London in 1749 by William Peaston and measures 12 5/8 inches in dia, it has a beautiful cast border of large acanthus leaves and S and C scrolls with a central coat of arms and a crest and stands on 3 beautiful scrolled acanthus leaf and large hairy paw feet, the decoration is crisp and the condition excellent, a lovely salver weighing 33.35 ounces or 1037 grams.
