Object Description

This super quality armorial and crested Queen Anne Britannia silver dog nose basting spoon was made in London in 1707 by Thomas Spackman, it measures 14 inches in length and has a lovely well defined rat tail to the back of the bowl. It has a coat of arms to the back of the stem with a crest below and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem. The bowl if well formed with no signs of wear – a lovely spoon as useful as the day it was made, weighing 5.8 ounces or 181 grams.
