Object Description
This good quality crested George II silver waiter or card tray was made in London in 1742 by specialist salver maker John Tuite, it measures 6 inches in dia and has a shaped shell and scroll border, it is crested to the centre with a griffin rampant and stands on 3 cast legs with stepped feet. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back and is in excellent condition weighing 7.0 ounces or 217 grams.
