Object Description

This superb quality Regency style crested George III silver salver was made in London in 1801 by John Crouch and measures 11.25 inches long by almost inches wide. It has a lovely cast shell, gadroon and acanthus leaf border with a central florid cartouche and the crest of a mythical beast of half unicorn and half lion inside. It stands on 4 cast shell and paw feet and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back. It is in super condition and weighs 28.75 ounces or 895 grams.
