Object Description
Superb, highest quality mid 19th century flame mahogany chiffioner by W & C. WILKINSON, 14 LUDGATE HILL, LONDON. This is very typical of the work of Wilkinson in the design and quality of flame mahogany used throughout. Two door chiffioner with pleated silk panels to the doors. The top with rosewood cross banding with two graduated shelves above with turned pillars. The chiffioner has its original lock and working key and is stamped with the makers mark on the top of one of the doors. The chiffioner is in very good condiiton except for requiring a small repair to one of the shelf side gallery parts. It is a glorious colour with waxed finish. Would grace any good dining room.
