Circa 1780. A rare, quality set of ten George III mahogany Hepplewhite dining chairs. The top rail with raised foliate carving over three tapering, beaded splats which finish with a wheatsheaf design. The large stuff over seat in tweed with close brass studding. The back legs are square and slightly outswept. The square and tapering front legs with double reeded fore-edges finish on an elegant spade toe.
