John Pennington was born in Liverpool on 27 June 1773.
He stayed in Liverpool and went on to become a landscape painter working in oils.
Pennington’s paintings were of the Lakes, North Wales and Derbyshire.
He did exhibit his work in the North West.
Pennington was a founder member of the Liverpool Academy in 1810.
John Pennington died in Liverpool in April 1841.
