Object Description

This very nice Queen Anne Britannia silver porringer was made in London in 1708 by Thomas Holland I and measures 5.75 inches handle to handle by 3 inches tall and is 3 5/8 inches in dia across the top, it is well decorated with spiral fluting to the bottom third of the body and has 3 bands of engraving with a raised rope work design below the top rim and a large vacant cartouche to the front, it has scrolled handles either side with graduated beading detail and is fully hallmarked to the side, a nice porringer in very good condition weighing 4.20 ounces or 131 grams.
