A case of 19th century Victorian sterling silver gilt berry spoons.
The set consists of two serving spoons and a sugar caster spoon.
The three spoons are all early 19th century Georgian and later embossed and gilded.
The spoons date from 1813-1819 George III, the Victorians had a habit of altering and what they hope to be ‘enhancing’ silver by embossing it.
The result is a very attractive set of three spoons in almost unused condition, the leather covered case is lined with green velvet and silk. (Circa 1860)
