This piece is a Persian carpet handmade by the Kurdish, Kurdish people are an Iranian ethnic group native to a mountainous region of west Asia known as Kurdistan, submerged in the mountains. The rug features traditional Tribal designs that derive from this area. The raw materials used are of the finest quality, with only the best hand-spun wool and cotton which have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques and delicately hand-knotted on looms by master craftsmen in the 1950s.
