These two engraved, ruby glass pokals — that is, large covered goblets — are beautiful pieces of antique Bohemian glassware.
Each goblet is fitted with a faceted, bevelled lid, which is topped with a pointed finial. Below, the body of each piece is tapered near the top, in a typical goblet form. Each body has been engraved with images of deer in a woodland, seen in both relaxed and more active poses. The goblet bowls are supported on faceted baluster-shaped stems, which stand on similarly cut, splayed feet. These feet have been shaped into petal lobes.
These ruby glass pokals are exquisite decorative art objects which will look wonderful placed inside a display cabinet or on a table, mantelpiece or pedestals.
