Object Description

This duo comprises two Chinese work boxes: one, of lacquered and parcel gilt wood, was produced c. 1850, while the second, of painted wood inlaid with ersatz mother-of-pearl, dates to the early 20th Century. The boxes feature hinged lids and compartmentalised interiors.
