Object Description
This unusual Charles I silver sweetmeat dish was made in London in 1628 and is without a makers mark, it measures 6 inches in length by 3 13/16 inches wide and is 1.5 inches tall at either end, it has 2 cast scrolled handles either side of the middle and the sides are a fluted design with a dot between each flute with the base having two bands of dots with a flower head and a larger dot between running around the oval base. It is clearly hallmarked to the side and is in very good condition weighing 2.85 ounces or 88 grams.
