Object Description
Unusual octagonal crested George I silver kitchen pepper made in London in 1716 by Glover Johnson and measures 3.75 inches tall by 2 inches in dia across the base, it has a stepped base leading into a faceted octagonal body with an original crest to the front with a thread handle to the opposite panel leading to a pull off lid that is also stepped and well pierced and atop has a dome finial, it is fully hallmarked underneath and weighs 2.30 ounces or 72 grams.
