Object Description
This unusual Queen Anne style crested early George III silver parcel gilt mug was made in London in 1764 by J Robinson and measures 3.75 inches tall by 4 3/8 inches from the handle across with the top being almost 3 inches in dia and the base3 3/16 inches in dia. It has a part fluted body with a punch design above and a scrolled and reeded strap handle, it is hallmarked to the side and under the base with the makers mark, a superb quality mug in excellent condition weighing ounces or grams.
