An unusual Georgian mahogany nine drawer collector’s cabinet.
The cabinet has a pair of doors with recessed panels that are flamed mahogany veneered, ebony edged, cross banded and inlaid.
The interior has nine mahogany fronted ebony edged drawers with amazing gilt brass knob handles that have star shaped back plates.
The drawers are beech wood lined, some with a later blue velvet lining.
The cabinet is in a Greek revival style similar to some furniture designed by George Bullock.
The cornice is ebony edged and has an ebony honeysuckle inlay in the centre and corners.
The cabinet is very well constructed and heavy quality. (Circa 1815)
