Object Description
Van Cleef & Arpels onyx and diamond ‘Philippine’ ring. Set with eighteen round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate total weight of 0.60 carats to a impressive bombé design featuring a central curving bezel, gold rope-work borders and open backholing, flanked by tapering dome shaped onyx panelled shoulders and flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker’s mark ‘VCA’ for Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered ’68 B 5001 X L.2’2′, exterior of band marked ‘P&Fils’ for Péry et Cie, French, circa 1960.
