Object Description
This unusually large Charles I silver dish was made in London in 1643 by Thomas King and measures 7 1/8 inches handle to handle 5.5 inches in dia across the bowl and is 1 5/8 inches deep. It has thick wire work handles either side and is nicely decorated with punch beading and flower heads and corn ears. It is fully hallmarked to the side and is in very good condition and weighs 5.10 ounces or 159 grams. A lovely piece of Carolean silver larger than the norm and a welcome addition to any collection.
