Object Description
This very rare Edward VI silver Maidenhead spoon was made in London in 1549 by Nicholas Bartholomew and measures 6.25 inches in length, it his fully hallmarked to the back of the stem and in the bowl with the leopards head, the fig shaped bowl is of good gauge and showing no major signs of wear – a very rare and early spoon in very good condition weighing 1.10 ounces or 34 grams.
