Object Description
This very rare George I Britannia silver rat tailed basting marrow spoon was made in London in 1726 by Will Scarlett and measures 12 inches in length, it is fully hallmarked to the back of the stem and has a good long well defined rat tail to the back of the bowl with the bowl itself being well formed with no obvious signs of wear – a very rare item in very good condition weighing 2.95 ounces or 92 grams..
