Object Description
This very rare Charles I silver sucket fork/spoon was made C1640 probably by John Wood of Chichester and measures 6 inches in length, it has a rat tail bowl to one end and a two pronged fork at the other, these spoons/forks have been found from Elizabeth times but the style and construction makes us believe it was around 1640 and probably provincial having a differently shaped bowl to the norm and this ties in with the makers mark of that date. It is marked to one side with the makers mark and is in very good condition and a rare addition to any collector.
