Object Description
A 19th century Victorian waxed oak and brass table top estate or hotel letterbox.
The box has a large brass plate with a slot that is engraved “Letters”.
The box has a hinged door that has a bevel glass view hole with a time for mail collection board and is flanked with Corinthian half pillars that have cast brass mounts.
The letterbox has a double moulded bead around its bottom edge, a wax polished finish and is in good condition but has no key. (Circa 1880)
