Object Description
Circa 1870, Victorian freestanding, marquetry inlaid kingwood sofa table or writing table. The rectangular top has marquetry inlaid panels of flowers and birds in exotic woods on ebonised backgrounds, and there are twin inlaid drop flaps either side. There are foliate-design cast brass edging to the top and beneath is a full-length marquetry inlaid drawer. All standing on cabriole legs with foliate brass mounts to the knees and finishing on brass sabots.
Size 74 cm high x 123 cm wide (open) x 84 cm wide (closed) x 70 cm deep.
