Object Description
Victorian sapphire five stone ring. Horizontally set with five cushion shape old mine natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.50 carats, to a graduated five stone design with curving fancy claws, a ridged gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders, flowing to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79216-14.
